Somali Youth for Employment
In order to create awareness on youth employment issues, a youth employment network will be established in all three regions, Somaliland, Puntland and south central Somalia. Through this youth portal, Somali youth will be able to get access to and exchange knowledge and know-how on youth employment. The youth website will act as a platform and service provider focusing on policy advice, innovative pilot projects, knowledge sharing, and brokering partnerships. Read more>>

Decent Work for Youth
Youth employment project funded by the Government of the People of Japan provides employment to youth in labour intensive project with 56 youth provided with grants to start business in Puntland and 18 in Somaliland. More about the project >>
Mohamed Abdikadir Islaam, one of the male winners of the grant in Puntland said "...am happy with this programme, it provided us with an opportunity to learn how to develop good business plan and start our own business, the training was good. We have benefited alot from it and we thank the ILO and the donors for their support."
